Better availability and fresher stock at scale

Since 2017, a unified platform automating inventory and ordering across 300+ stores — one source of truth, fuller shelves, fairer prices.

The company

Albert is one of the top three supermarket chains in the Czech Republic, owned by Ahold Delhaize and recognised for promoting healthy living — winner of the EFQM Global Award in 2021 for excellence.

The challenge

Managing inventory across a very large store estate produced unpredictable stock-outs, outdated goods and pricing inconsistencies. The COVID-19 pandemic then disrupted demand forecasting on top of that.

What was needed was a single unified platform optimising stock ordering, pricing and freshness together rather than as three separate disciplines.

One platform connecting commercial and logistics

Starting in 2017, an integrated platform was co-created to connect commercial and logistics processes and automate forecasting and replenishment for both promotional and baseline demand.

Data models and integrations were consolidated into a single source of truth, then the system was operated and hardened through high-volatility periods before being extended with further optimisation modules.

The result

Automated inventory and ordering across 300+ stores, with all teams planning from shared, consistent data. Fuller shelves, fairer pricing and fresher products — sustained through the most volatile trading period in recent retail history.

Project delivered by the Logio group using the VERITICO platform. Augment Cloud is the official Logio partner for Iberia, bringing the same platform, methodology and expert teams to clients in Spain and Portugal.
