Seasonal inventory optimisation for Zeelandia

VERITICO Stock helps Zeelandia manage strong seasonal demand — availability up while stock capital and turnover time drop.

The company

Zeelandia is the Czech subsidiary of Royal Zeelandia Group, a global bakery ingredients manufacturer founded in 1900. Active in the Czech market since 1990, with revenue above €40 million and around 225 employees.

The challenge

Zeelandia struggled to hold stock within the desired range. Inventory was either too high or too low, risking unavailability for customers while locking up unnecessary capital.

Strong seasonality made it harder still — consumers pre-stock before holidays, and demand peaks through autumn and winter. The company needed planning that respected those specific patterns rather than smoothing them away.

Forecast-driven planning across a seasonal supply chain

VERITICO STOCK was implemented with forecasting configured to reflect Zeelandia's seasonal profile, providing transparent control across the whole planning process — purchasing, production, inter-warehouse transfers and final distribution.

One connected process replaced a set of separately optimised steps, so a decision made in purchasing no longer created a problem in distribution.

The result

Product availability increased by 9%, stock working capital fell by 18%, and inventory turnover time shortened by 36% to 70 days — availability and working capital improving together rather than being traded against each other.
