Automated replenishment for Terno

Ordering process automated for 150+ stores — availability up and management time down.

The company

Terno is a traditional Slovak food retailer established in 1978, operating over 150 stores from local shops to large supermarkets under the KRAJ, TERNO and Moja Samoška brands.

The challenge

Store managers ordered manually based on subjective estimates. The result was inconsistent shelf availability, excessive waste and a significant amount of management time spent on administration instead of customers.

A predictive engine for grocery retail

VERITICO STOCK was connected to the existing software architecture, then configured to generate automated order suggestions from historical sales data and demand forecasting tailored to different store formats.

The prediction-based approach was validated in a pilot at selected stores to tune accuracy before being scaled across the full network of 150+ locations.

The result

Availability increased by 2.13% while overall inventory levels fell, inventory turnover improved by more than 10%, and store managers recovered over an hour of administrative time per location per day.
